(Pierre, SD) — A representative from the state agriculture and the South Dakota Soybean Checkoff says their PFAS Collection and Exchange Initiative has wrapped up. PFAS is a man-made “forever chemical” known to cause adverse health effects. Dozens of fire departments and one airport exchanged the use of PFAS in its foam products for a soy-based alternative called SoyFoam.
