(Glenburn, ND) — Court dates for Glenburn Mayor Eric Folstad’s domestic violence trial are set. The embattled mayor is scheduled for a pretrial conference on April 23rd with the start of his jury trial is scheduled for May 5th and 6th. Folstad pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges stemming from a November 2nd incident over cleaning at his home. Under North Dakota law, elected officials can be removed from office through recall elections or criminal convictions. The Glenburn website still lists Folsad as the city’s mayor.
