(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Kelly Armstrong is not concerned the state’s number two oil producer is pausing their rigs. Armstrong reiterated Continental Resources is not pulling up stakes and leaving the state during a meeting of the North Dakota Industrial Commission on Tuesday. Continental’s founder Harold Hamm announced the decision to pause drilling in the state during an interview with Bloomberg on Friday. Continental operates three rigs in the state and one of them was already shutdown. There are currently 30 active rigs in the Bakken, which is three fewer than one year ago at this time.
