(Bismarck, ND) — Six finalists for the open North Dakota Supreme Court seat have been forwarded to the governor. Two judges from Bismarck, two from Fargo and one each from Williston and Rugby have been forwarded to Governor Kelly Armstrong. The seat opened after Justice Daniel Crothers announced he would retire early this year. Armstrong can choose from one of the six candidates, direct the committee to reconvene or call a special election and allow the people to decide in a vote.
