(Rapid City, SD) — A mistrial is being declared in the aggravated assault case against NDN Collective Founder Nick Tilsen. Jury deliberations started on Wednesday but shortly after they began, the announcement was made they could not come to a decision. The case stems from a 2022 incident where prosecutors allege Tilsen drove his pickup truck at an officer who had stopped a homeless man. Tilsen says he was pulling into a parking spot and making sure police were not harassing the man. Prosecutors have not announced if they will re-try the case.
