(Cass County, ND) — Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner is having second thoughts on distributing grant funding. The 205-thousand-dollar grant was awarded to the F5 Project as part of the Breaking the Cycle program. A recent report showed the F5 Project had given tens of thousands of dollars in loans to its CEO and another executive. The group also reported a 900-thousand-dollar revenue shortfall in 2026. An inquiry was launched by Attorney General Drew Wrigley due to a North Dakota law that prohibits corporations from lending money to directors or officers of a corporation.
