Rapid City Man Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison

(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City man is facing 30 years in prison for assaulting two women last summer. It is believed that the two women were sitting in a parking lot when 19-year-old Mikael Fox opened the driver’s side door and began strangling the driver. When the passenger tried to stop Fox, he pulled her out of the car and choked her until she lost consciousness. When the driver tried to help her friend, he slammed her head into the ground and continued the assault until a gas station clerk heard one of the victims yelling and intervened. Both women issued victim impact statements and requested the full 30-year sentence for the attack.
