(Washington, DC) — Senate Majority Leader John Thune says Democrats and Republicans are working in good faith to fund DHS. The senator from South Dakota says he believes there have been some productive discussions but both parties need some time to analyze the proposals. He noted Democrats didn’t get the text of the Republican’s proposal until this weekend. The deadline to fund DHS is Friday at midnight. Democrats have been pushing to ban agents from wearing masks and to require judicial warrants for agents to enter private properties.
