(Pierre, SD) — Former mayor of Pierre Laurie Gill is running for the state House. Gill says in a press release that it would be an honor to serve District 24. Her announcement follows news from Representative Will Mortensen who said he will not run for re-election in 2026. Gill, a Republican, also served on the administrations of Governors Dennis Daugaard and Kristi Noem. The Primary Election takes place on June 2nd while the General Election is set for November 3rd.
