Congressman Dusty Johnson Takes Questions From High Schoolers

(North Sioux City, SD) — South Dakota’s lone House Representative Dusty Johnson is using his time on recess from Congress. He was at Dakota Valley High School on Tuesday to answer questions from students about topics ranging from the Middle East to abortion policy. He said the first task the legislature needs to tackle when it reconvenes is funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Johnson said that all government shutdowns are “stupid” and they hold federal agencies and workers “hostage.” Johnson is also using his time to campaign for Governor.
