(Rapid City, SD) — The Hot Springs VA Medical Center is set to provide dialysis services again. The center paused dialysis in October because equipment that ensured water quality was wearing out. Senator Mike Rounds and VA Secretary Doug Collins said in a phone call Thursday morning that the VA would be committing a million dollars to upgrade the necessary equipment. State Senator Amber Hulse is asking for an investigation to find out how the issue got such a dire stage. Hulse said she wanted to thank Senator Rounds for quick action to remedy the situation.
