(Fargo, ND) — A former Sanford oncologist allegedly fired for retaliation will have her case heard in federal court. Dr. Sabha Ganai says she was terminated after calling the medical center’s administration “toxic.” She filed a lawsuit in Cass County nearly two years ago, claiming Sanford violated the state’s whistleblower statute. The case was moved to federal court at the request of the medical center because they said Ganai’s complaint made claims that fall under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Her trial is scheduled to begin in October.
