(Walcott, ND) — A man is facing charges of assaulting a woman twice, once with a metal bar. Chance DeCoteau of Walcott is accused of assaulting the woman in a March 7th incident at her apartment in Moorhead. She claims he hit her in the face with a metal bar attached to a bicycle seat. Four days later DeCoteau is accused of slapping the woman, causing her to be taken to the Sanford ER for treatment. DeCoteau was previously convicted of domestic assault in September 2019 and misdemeanor assault in February 2018.
