Man Accused Of Dismembering His Girlfriend To Undergo Mental Health Evaluation

(Fargo, ND) — The man accused of dismembering Isadora Wengel will be given a mental health evaluation. A judge authorized the evaluation to determine if Joshua Hite is competent to stand trial. Prosecutors believe Hite dismembered her body and disposed of her remains after they found several items in a dumpster with her blood and DNA. Police never found Wengel’s body but they also believe Hite put searches into Wengel’s phone and made contact with her family to mislead them and make them think she was still alive. Hite is in custody at the Cass County Jail on a five-million dollar bond.
