(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Public Service Commission is approving a rate increase for Xcel Energy customers. The ten-point-66-percent increase will raise a typical natural gas customer’s bill by about eight dollars and 42 cents. Xcel’s latest natural gas rate increase happened in 2024. The three-person Public Service Commission says this is just an interim rate, while a larger increase could be coming at a later date.
