(Custer, SD) — Containment of the Qury Fire has reached 70 percent as of Sunday morning. The management of the fire will transition to a local unit as less resources are needed to mitigate the blaze. It has burned over nine-thousand-100 acres just south of Custer and the cause is still under investigation. There are still road closures on Lower French Creek Road. Around 190 firefighters working on the mitigation effort.
