(Pierre, SD) — Three pro-life bills were signed into law by Governor Larry Rhoden over the weekend. One of the bills prohibits the sale or advertisement of unlawful abortion pills and bans the shipment of those pills. The other two bills amend the definition of an abortion to distinguish it from a miscarriage and mandate education in prenatal human growth and development. Rhoden said the bills reflect the state’s laws as the most pro-life state in the country. He said they show that South Dakotans continue to stand for life and protect the next generation.
