(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Game and Fish is updating its fishing guide for 2026 through 2028. The new guidelines include changes to salmon fishing on Lake Sakakawea. The department is allowing snagging on the lower half of the lake during daylight hours, as well as archery and spearing. They are also increasing the amount of white bass anglers can keep and have per day. All fishing licenses in North Dakota will need to be renewed by April 1st.
