(Minot, ND) — Officials in Minot and Ward County are considering a ballot measure to merge their libraries. Members of a joint committee representing the entities say they still need more data to commit and they are still weighing what a ballot measure would look like. The Minot City Council is looking to reduce its budget and could cut funding for the library by 25 percent. The final budget for the city must be adopted by early October. They’re also considering only opening the library for three days a week.
