(Dickinson, ND) — The latest data from the Department of Mineral Resources shows oil and gas production is steady. North Dakota oil companies produced one-point-124-million barrels of oil a day in January compared to one-point-126-million barrels per day in December. The news comes as oil prices hover near the 100-dollar per barrel mark. In the past, market experts say that price would have caused a scramble to drill new wells but activity in the state is virtually stagnant. However, North Dakota has more than 28-hundred inactive wells and officials believe that some of those will be reactivated this year.
