(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota Trade President and CEO Jesse Fonkert is resigning. He announced his decision on social media, saying he wants to prioritize time with his family and explore other opportunities. Fronkert took over as president in May of 2025, replacing Luke Lindberg who currently serves in the U.S. Department of Agriculture. South Dakota Trade has not announced a timeline to determine Fronkert’s replacement.
