First Responder Program At Dakota College Fills Growing Need

(Minot, ND) — Dakota College at Bottineau is trying to fill a need for first responders in North Dakota. Its Paramedic Technology program is fast-tracking new paramedics to the field. A program manager says the people in the program have to be certified EMTs already and the program builds on the information they learn at that introductory level. Mary Jund tells KX News that a paramedic shortage is impacting states nationwide. The program runs for 14 months across four semesters and anyone interested must apply by April 1st.
