North Dakota Industrial Commission Approves $1M In Renewable Energy Grants

(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Industrial Commission is approving one-million dollars in renewable energy grants. Xylion Technologies is receiving 500-thousand dollars for a project focused on extracting rubidium from produced water. The other 500-thousand is going to Flickertail Resources for a project focused on capturing carbon from agricultural waste and organic matter. The grant money comes from the Renewable Energy Program with funding from oil and gas production revenue. The three-person Industrial Commission is comprised of Governor Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.
