(Rapid City, SD) — Lawn watering restrictions are being moved up in Rapid City by two months. The decision comes from city officials after the Pactola Reservoir reported water levels below the city’s “concern” threshold. The conservation measures will be enacted on April 1st and remain in place through September 30th. The restrictions prohibit watering from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily and no watering is allowed on the 31st day of any month. Odd-numbered addresses are allowed to water on odd-numbered days while even-numbered addresses are allowed to water on even-numbered days during approved hours.
