(Brookings, SD) — Officials say last weekend’s pub crawl resulted in more intakes than the 2025 Hobo Days. The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office says 32 intakes were made from 5:00 p.m. Friday through 6:00 a.m. on Sunday. That exceeds the number made in the same window during last year’s Hobo Days homecoming celebration for South Dakota State University. The detention center recorded 28 intakes for Hobo Days. The center also noted intakes nearly doubled from the 2025 Pub Crawl when 17 intakes were made.
