(Rapid City, SD) — A woman is facing resisting arrests charges for hitting an officer in Rapid City. Police say 24-year-old Victoria Craig of Rapid City was seen leaving a home on Surfwood Drive with blood on her hands. When she was confronted and told to stop, she hit the officer in the face and was taken to the ground where she started kicking before being safely detained. Police had originally responded to the scene for an alleged assault, which they believe Craig was responsible for. She was placed under arrest for assault, assault on law enforcement and a parole hold.
