(Burleigh County, ND) — Burleigh County Commissioners are delaying a vote on banning off-highway vehicles. Commissioners will revisit the issue on April 20th during a special meeting. They were considering a moratorium and an ordinance that would ban off-highway vehicle usage in ditches over safety, noise and property damage concerns. The commission still hasn’t finalized a solution and they are considering fines, time-of-year restrictions, mileage limits and other various bans, similar to burn bans. Opponents say the ban punishes responsible users for the poor actions of few.
