(Sturgis, SD) — One person is dead and the driver of a stolen vehicle is in critical condition. This follows a crash during a police chase in Sturgis. The chase began after police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at a home around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The suspect fled the scene in a Ford F-250, reaching speeds around 70 miles per hour. The truck eventually crashed into a white Honda Accord on Lazelle Street, leaving the driver of the Honda dead, while the suspect was taken by helicopter to a hospital in critical condition with charges pending.
