Pennington County Launches Parole Accountability Task Force

(Rapid City, SD) — Law enforcement agencies in Pennington County are launching a task force to address repeat offenders. The new Parole Accountability Task Force is made of members from the Rapid City Police, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, State’s Attorney’s Office, and multiple other state and federal agencies. It’s designed to help support parolees adapt to their new normal outside of prison walls. It is also in place to hold parolees accountable and punish repeated criminal behavior.
