(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Minnehaha County judge is sentencing a rapist to 30 years in prison. Brian Christopher Jensen learned his fate on Monday after he was convicted by a jury of second degree rape and assault during a trial in September. The victim accused Jensen of forcibly raping her after she came home from work one night, while he was watching a film that encouraged the assault of an enslaved woman. State’s Attorney Daniel Haggar called the defendant’s actions, “reprehensible.” He said that justice had been served with the sentence and commended the victim for her courage in coming forward.
