South Dakota Politicians React To WHCD Shooting

(Undated) — Politicians throughout the state are reacting to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting. State Rep. Dusty Johnson shared a statement with Keloland saying he is, “thankful President Trump and those at the Correspondents’ Dinner are safe.” Sen. Mike Rounds said on social media he was grateful for the law enforcement agents who took action at the scene. Attorney General Marty Jackley said in a statement that he was, “relieved to hear that the Secret Service Agent who was shot was not seriously injured.” Senate Majority Leader John Thune did not issue a statement as of Sunday night.
