(Bismarck, ND) — The Syttende Mai celebration at the North Dakota Heritage Center honored Norway’s Constitution Day. The free event hosted a variety of Scandinavian music, crafts and traditional treats. Wood carving, rosemaling and kransekake were all features of the celebration. Organizers say events like Syttende Mai help keep cultural traditions alive.
