(Sioux Falls, SD) — An advertising campaign is discouraging people from giving money to panhandlers in Sioux Falls. The five candidates running for mayor of Sioux Falls are weighing in on the campaign. All five candidates said they think some criticism of the campaign is justified and that the city should be prioritizing other things. The campaign is set to run until August 15th and cost the city 30-thousand dollars from its marketing budget. A similar campaign ran in 2025 but cost closer to $100,000.
