(Bismarck, ND) — While this year’s rainy spring has been great for crops in North Dakota, the same can’t be said for oil production. The Department of Mineral Resources says the state produced just under one-point-two-million barrels a day in May, which is a four percent drop compared to April. Officials say the rain had a negative impact on oil transportation and fracking crews. However, gas production and capture held steady in May, with the state capturing about three-point-three-billion cubic feet a day.
