Spirit Lake Nation Lifts Water Conservation Notice

(Spirit Lake, ND) — Spirit Lake Nation is lifting its water conservation notice nearly three months after it was issued. This follows a ‘do not drink’ advisory that went into effect on May 27th due to elevated levels of manganese in the region’s water supply. Officials say the millions of gallons of unsafe water were flushed from the water filtration system, which is now fully operational. The do-not-drink ban was lifted in early July. Spirit Lake residents can now return to normal water usage.
