(Fargo, ND) — The North Dakota State University President David Cook is being named the new Iowa State University President. On Tuesday, the Iowa Board of Regents announced Cook would replace retiring President Wendy Wintersteen. Cook grew up in Ames, Iowa and said the opportunity feels like coming home. He is credited with stabilizing enrollment on the Fargo campus after years of decline and helping NDSU become one of the nation’s top 100 public research institutions. In a message to the NDSU campus, Cook said his time here has been filled with extraordinary experiences and genuine connection.
