Glenburn Mayor Charged, Hearing In December

(Glenburn, ND) — The Mayor of Glenburn, Eric Folstad, is facing a charge after an incident at a home earlier this month. According to court records, police responded to the home on November 2nd. Folstad was arrested and charged with a class B misdemeanor of domestic violence, bodily injury. He posted bond and is currently under a no-contact order with all parties involved and is also prohibited from consuming alcohol. His next court hearing is scheduled for December 18th. The president of Glenburn’s city council says the council will soon discuss the next steps regarding Folstad’s status as mayor.
