(Rapid City, SD) — Crackerbarrel events are being held throughout South Dakota, connecting lawmakers with constituents. One was held in Rapid City and another in Lennox over the weekend. The Rapid City event was attended by lawmakers from five different districts and a major point of discussion was the construction project at Ellsworth Air Force Base. While the project will set the base up to be a top-notch, nuclear-ready facility, the materials being brought in are tearing up the nearby roads. In Lennox, lawmakers were focused on property taxes, data centers and why there have been hold ups in providing new legislation for both.
