Candidate For Mayor Of Minot Pitches City Budget

(Minot, ND) — Challenger Josiah Roise says he can cut the city budget by six-point-five-million dollars. Roise is challenging incumbent Mayor Mark Jantzer, who beat Roise in a four-way race in August of 2025. Roise pitched his hypothetical city budget at a public forum earlier this week. He shared more details about the proposal with KFYR. It includes a ten-point-five percent cut in property taxes, an increase to fully fund the police and fire departments, and a 25-percent reduction in government administration spending.
