Brookings Asks For Feedback On Food Compost Program

(Brookings, SD) — The city of Brookings is asking for feedback on its food compost program. The pilot program has reached the six-month mark and the city’s Solid Waste Division is encouraging participants to complete a brief survey about the usage, satisfaction and suggestions for it. The survey is open through April 27th. Printed surveys are available at the city of Brookings office on Third Street. Program organizers say they have composted more than 13-thousand pounds of food since it was launched in October.
