Most South Dakotans Approve Trump’s Firing Of Kristi Noem

(Washington, DC) — A new poll shows roughly 75 percent of South Dakotans approve Kristi Noem’s firing. President Trump dismissed the former South Dakota governor from her role as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security in early March. The poll was conducted by South Dakota News Watch and the Chiesman Center for Democracy at the University of South Dakota. The results showed that 76 percent agreed with the move while 59 percent disapproved of her performance. Noem received criticism for her handling of protests against ICE operations after two people were killed in Minnesota and questions were raised over her alleged relationship with aide Corey Lewandowski.
