North Dakota Senators Back Homeland Security Funding

(Washington, DC) — North Dakota Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer voted yes on a budget resolution tied to Department of Homeland Security funding. The measure passed the Senate 50 to 48 after a late-night vote that ended early Thursday morning. Hoeven says the plan would support border security and law enforcement. Democrats opposed the measure, saying the money should go toward lowering costs for families.
