(Edgemont, SD) — The dispute over whether or not a survivalist igloo complex outside Edgemont is illegal or not will continue despite the South Dakota High Court’s ruling yesterday. The State Supreme Court said the Vivos xPoint ownership group’s lease on the complex of hundreds of former U.S. Army munitions bunkers is not illegal, overturning a 2025 circuit court judge decision. The initial argument from tenants of the properties surrounded the Vivos group’s change to the 99-year leases after tenant’s had signed them. After yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling, the case goes back to the lower court for more consideration.
