3rd Plea Agreement To Be Proposed In Terry Steinwand Case

(Mandan, ND) — Prosecutors are planning to present a third plea agreement in the Terry Steinwand case. The former director of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department is facing misdemeanor sexual assault charges. Court documents indicate he is planning to enter an Alford plea, meaning he is pleading guilty but maintaining innocence. Steinwand was previously facing felony charges but prosecutors dropped the case after the judge rejected two previous plea deals. The new deal on new misdemeanor charges is expected to be presented to the judge on Thursday.
