(Bismarck, ND) — A judge is requiring an additional step before accepting a plea agreement for Terry Steinwand. This was the third attempt at a plea deal for Steinwand, who is the former North Dakota Game and Fish director. He is being accused of misdemeanor sexual assault. Judge Marina Spahr is accepting the deal if Steinwand takes a psychosexual examination and risk assessment. Steinwand is entering an Alford plea and will avoid further jail time if the plea deal is accepted.
