(Ward County, ND) — Arrest warrants are out for two people in Ward County for witness tampering. Nathan Smith, the Sawyer businessman who is also facing charges in connection to the discovery of hundreds of dead cattle at a Ward County feedlot, is now facing new charges of threatening a woman to withhold testimony or evidence. Hannah Smith is facing similar charges made against a separate person. Nathan Smith is facing one count for each of the 470-plus dead animals found on the feedlot for improper disposal of animal carcasses. He is also facing a jury trial on construction fraud charges that begins at the end of May.
