(Sioux Falls, SD) — Leaders in Sioux Falls are reminding homeowners of lawn and water rules. Among the rules, Property Maintenance Inspection Manager Justin Christensen tells Keloland all grass, noxious weeds and nuisance vegetation must be kept below eight inches. He says the city receives about two-thousand complaints each year and issues between 450-to-500 citations each year. For watering, homes with even-numbered addresses are allowed to run their systems on even numbered days and vice-versa for odd numbered homes. Water Program Coordinator Darin Frees says lawn watering is prohibited between noon and 5:00 p.m. to prevent evaporation.
