Fargo Fire Department Extinguishes Vehicle Fire Inside Structure at 402 42nd Street North

FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – At approximately 9:01 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, the Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 402 42nd Street North in Fargo.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed a vehicle inside the structure fully engulfed in flames with heavy smoke, and a second alarm was called. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire in approximately 5 minutes after initial crews arrived on scene.

The fire was contained to the vehicle inside the shop. One individual was transported to a local medical facility for a burn injury. A cost estimate of the damage is not available at this time, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No additional information is available.

The Fargo Fire Department responded to the scene with five engines, one ladder truck and two command vehicles. The Fargo Police Department, Sanford Ambulance and the Salvation Army assisted at the scene.
