(Bismarck, ND) — Former Bank of North Dakota President Todd Steinwand is dead at age 66. His family made the announcement that he died on Monday from complications with Lou Gehrig’s disease, or ALS. Steinwand was in the banking industry for more than 40 years, including 33-years at Wells Fargo before he took over as chief business development officer at the Bank of North Dakota. He was promoted to president/CEO in 2021 and retired in 2024. His daughter Jill Kringstad serves on the Public Service Commission and is running for reelection.
