Wild Collapse Against Avalanche, End Season

(Denver, CO) — The Minnesota Wild’s season is over. The Wild fell apart in the final minutes of a 4-3 overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche in Game Five of the Western Conference Semifinals from Ball Arena. The Wild led by two with under four minutes left in regulation before surrendering two goals to send the game to OT, where they lost in the fourth minute. Nick Foligno scored twice in the losing effort, while Marcus Johansson also lit the lamp. Minnesota dropped the best-of-seven series 4-1.
